This Privacy Policy explains how Dutch Taxi Services collects, uses and protects your personal data when you book a transfer, contact us or use this website. We process personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch the AVG).

What data we collect
We only collect data we need to carry out your transfer or to answer your question.
Booking data
Name, email address and telephone number
Pickup address, destination address and pickup time
Flight number and airline, when the journey starts or ends at an airport
Number of passengers, luggage details and any child seat request
Special instructions you add to the booking
Payment status and transaction reference
Contact data
Name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message
Technical data
IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited
Cookie identifiers, as described under Cookies below
We do not ask for and do not want special categories of personal data, such as health data. Please do not include such information in the notes field of a booking unless it is strictly necessary for us to carry out the journey safely.
Why we use your data
To perform the transport contract. We use your booking data to confirm, plan and carry out your journey, to assign a driver and to send you confirmations and reminders. The legal basis is performance of a contract.
To take payment. We use payment data to collect the agreed fare and to issue a receipt or invoice. The legal basis is performance of a contract.
To answer your questions. We use contact form data to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
To meet legal obligations. Dutch tax law requires us to keep invoices and related records. The legal basis is a legal obligation.
To keep the website working and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website.
To understand how the website is used. We use analytics cookies only with your consent. The legal basis is consent.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the parties we need in order to deliver the service, and only to the extent required.
Our drivers. The assigned driver receives your name, telephone number, pickup and destination address, pickup time and flight number.
Payment provider. Card and iDEAL payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment data directly. We never store your full card number.
Hosting and infrastructure. Our website and database are hosted with Hostinger. Uploaded files are stored with Cloudflare.
Email delivery. Confirmation and notification emails are sent through our email provider.
Mapping and scheduling. We use Google services for address lookup, distance calculation and scheduling of journeys.
Analytics. Where you consent, we use Google Analytics to measure website use.
Authorities and advisers. Where we are legally required to do so, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long we keep your data
Booking records. Kept for the duration of the journey and afterwards for as long as needed to handle questions or disputes.
Invoices and financial records. Kept for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.
Contact form messages. Kept for up to two years after the last contact.
Website analytics. Kept for a maximum of fourteen months.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website.
Necessary cookies. Required for the website and the booking form to work, for example to remember your language choice and your booking session. These are always active.
Analytics cookies. Used to count visits and understand which pages are useful. These are placed only if you agree.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the booking form from working correctly.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
Have inaccurate data corrected
Have your data deleted, where we have no further need or legal duty to keep it
Ask us to restrict processing
Object to processing based on our legitimate interest
Receive your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email info@dutchtaxiservices.nl. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Security
We use encrypted connections, restricted access to booking data and reputable service providers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
Children
Our service is aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under sixteen except as part of a booking made by a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or the law changes. The current version always applies and is published on this page.
